COVID-19 updates

2020.08.24 _Schools_Primary_A4Leaflet

Welcome back September 2020 and March 2021

We hope this will be welcoming children back March 2021 as a marker that things can return to more normality.  We have staggered start and end times with entrances for different bubbles.  Please help us by maintaining your distance from other parents during drop off and collection times and for all adults to be wearing masks on site.  Please only one adult per family.  Your help with this will be invaluable to helping us keep our community as safe as possible.   We understand this may take a little time to get used to and time slots need to be kept to.  I think all of us are a little concerned about having to settle into a new routine.

Public Health are regularly reviewing and updating the procedures and guidance on the management of suspected cases, management of confirmed cases and arrangements for management of a possible outbreak.  This may change our practice at very short notice.  Please inform us straight away if any member of your bubble or a pupil at Webheath is displaying any COVID-19 symptoms.  We have a dedicated email: covid@webheath.worcs.sch.uk

Many resources are being published to aid children coming back to school and Parents are encouraged to visit gov.uk/backtoschool for information and practical guidance to help them plan for their children’s return to school.

We have a revised home/school agreement to support us with changes due to COVID-19.

Hand cleaning

Clean hands thoroughly more often than usual

Coronavirus (COVID-19) is an easy virus to kill when it is on skin. This can be done with soap and running water or hand sanitiser. Schools must ensure that pupils clean their hands regularly, including when they arrive at school, when they return from breaks, when they change rooms and before and after eating. Regular and thorough hand cleaning is going to be needed for the foreseeable future.  Please help us with ensuring children know how to clean their hands thoroughly, using soap for 20 seconds.  We will have hand sanitising stations around school and are using a product called ktouch:  https://ktouch.co.uk/
